Meet Sandie MacGowan

Meet Sandie MacGowan, Certified Recovery Coach Professional, a woman in long term recovery and founder of Women Rocking Recovery

"My Passion? Inspiring, motivating, and supporting women in building a strong recovery and becoming the women they were always meant to be.

Sandie MacGowan

Hi, I'm Sandie,

Although we've never met, we probably have a lot in common. If you are reading this, chances are you lived through, or are familiar with, the nightmare of addiction, just like me. Today I am a woman in long-term recovery since April of 2000, a certified recovery coach professional, and the founder of Women Rocking Recovery, a Facebook group for women in recovery with over 14,000 members worldwide.

I know for a fact that a sustainable recovery is possible. You are never too young or too old to change. I was one of the people who found sobriety late in life. You don't have to live in shame or fear anymore. You certainly don't have to go through this alone.

Join our community, make new friends, learn new ways to strengthen your recovery, or join a workshop. This website is filled with what I've learned through my life experiences, my training as a recovery coach, and my coaching practice as well as my life in recovery. I created self-paced courses, challenges, and workshops, and wrote books to inspire and motivate you to go from a good recovery to an extraordinary recovery. I'm certain you will find something here that will change your life for the better. It's time to start living a life you love!

Blessings of peace, love, and joy, Sandie XO

Rise up from the darkness

"I thought I didn't have what it takes to get clean and sober. I tried over and over again to stop. I found Women Rocking Recovery on Facebook and then the website. Everything hit home with me. After working with Sandie my whole perception changed. I saw the possibilities in my future.  I have more self-confidence than I ever have in my life now. I trust my thoughts and decisions. My recovery is strong and I'm having fun again.

Thank you, Sandie and Women Rocking Recovery!"

Women walking the beach

"The women who I love & admire for their strength & grace did not get that way because shit worked out. They got that way because shit went wrong & they handled it. They handled it in a thousand different ways, on a thousand different days, but they handled it. Those women are my heroes."
